STAR Development Group is leading the stakeholder and community engagement in the design of a new £63.5m Knockroon Learning and Enterprise Campus in Cumnock.

In a multi-disciplinary team led by Sheppard Robson Architects, STAR are ensuring that community groups and local interests are well represented in the design of the Campus on the Broomfield Park site in Cumnock.  Working closely with the design architects, planners and accessibility team, our role is to provide the opportunities for community engagement, and to ensure that the Campus takes account of community as well as educational needs.

Several community workshops have been held in Cumnock and Auchinleck, engaging with a wide range of community interests. STAR designed the format for the workshops, and helped the technical team to present and share the ideas for the Campus and gather useful community feedback.  Construction of the new Campus is expected to start in Summer 2017.
