An open day held as part of an intiative to regenerate the west Fife villages of Oakley and Comrie has been deemed a success.

Nearly 300 people turned out to the engagement event to help decide how money from the Coalfields Regeneration Trust should be spent within the villages. A simple voting process was in play during the day with aspects of village life – such as a gala- attracting most of the votes.
